Open House
Annually we invite eighth graders and their parents to attend Xavier's Open
House. Our students and faculty are eager to show off their school. Their presentations
give valuable insights into the Xavier Experience - its excellent
academic programs, its successful athletic programs, and its caring and
warm community.

Application
Students who take the entrance exam receive an application to complete with the help of their parents. Each student is asked to write an essay about why he wishes to attend Xavier. Students must include copies of their 7th and 8th grade report cards with their application. Acceptance is based on the results of the entrance test and grades in the seventh and eighth grade. In some instances, an interview is required before an admissions decision is made. Upon acceptance, and parental registration, a $500 registration fee is due.
Transfer Students
Students wishing to transfer into Xavier High School are required to
complete a transfer application (available by calling the Admissions
Office at 860-346-7735), provide academic transcripts for the previous
high school years and write an essay on their reasons for wanting to
transfer into Xavier. Once the application is complete, an interview
will be scheduled. Acceptance decisions are made as space becomes
available.
