Campus Ministry

Sharing in the educational ministry of the Catholic Church, Xavier assumes the three-fold task of proclaiming the Christian message, of fostering the experience of community, and of providing opportunities for service to the community within and outside of school. Students are encouraged to develop their talents not only for themselves but also for the good of others. Since the early 1970's, the school has researched and established numerous opportunities for students to become involved in service to the community. Through participation in service activities and retreat, students are able to experience first-hand the satisfaction and frustrations involved in living out a commitment to improving the quality of life in the community. The school recognizes that the personal growth and maturation which normally stem from such learning experiences are an integral ingredient in the formation of well-rounded individuals.
