Approximately $600.00 (if books are bought new). Xavier High School is pleased to announce that we have partnered with an MBS Direct, an online book company. More information and a link to MBS Direct are available on our Bookstore Page.
MBS Direct will buy back used books at the end of each school year and offer used books for sale out of their inventory. We anticipate that this will make book sales much easier for our parents and students.
The Business Office may bill for other fees. No fees will be collected in class.
Payments
Incoming freshmen must pay $500.00 (a $450.00 deposit and a $50.00 registration fee) non-refundable down payment by February 4, 2011 to hold their place in class. Three different payment plans are available and have been designed to assist parents in budgeting the tuition costs. For more specifics, stop by the Business Office.
We are pleased to offer you a convenient, online method to enroll for your payment plan with FACTS. Those families who are already enrolled with FACTS do not need to re-enroll. Click on the icon to access their site.
Scholarships
Only those students who take the initial Entrance Exam in November are eligible to receive Entrance Exam Scholarships.
BROTHER ROBERT C.F.X. SCHOLARSHIP-Each year a full four-year conditional scholarship is awarded to the 8th grader who receives the highest score on the November Freshman Entrance Exam and has received a letter of acceptance by the time this scholarship is announced each January. This scholarship is renewable for the student’s subsequent years at Xavier if he maintains a grade point average of 3.0 at the conclusion of his freshman, sophomore and junior years.
BISHOP HINES SCHOLARSHIP-The next eight highest-ranking 8th graders on the November Entrance Exam are awarded conditional $2,000 scholarships named in honor of Xavier’s founding Bishop, Vincent J. Hines. The conditions for reception of this scholarship award are the same as listed above for the Entrance Exam Scholarship: An 8th grader must have received a letter of acceptance by the time the scholarships are announced in January, and the scholarships are renewable on a yearly basis if each recipient maintains a grade point average of 3.0 at the conclusion of freshman, sophomore and junior year.
ANNUAL ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS-At the conclusion of every academic year, a full scholarship for the following school year is awarded to each freshman, sophomore and junior who earns the highest grade point average in his year. In the case of a tie, the scholarship is divided between/among the number of students who received identical grade point averages.
THERE ARE NO ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED BY XAVIER HIGH SCHOOL.
