Behind two senior leaders and a charismatic group of younger runners, Xavier brought home a record 20th class championship on Saturday, October 26, 2019.
Robbie Cozean '20 led the way for the Falcons by winning the individual title by 39 seconds at Wickham Park in Manchester. But he was followed by teammates Noah San Vicente '22, Eamon Burke '22, George Luke '20 and Nick Cassarino '23, Adam Anziano '21 and Brody Santagata '22, who each finished in the top 28 at the championship.
With five guys in the top 18, the Falcons defeated Bristol Central by 32 points and Newington by 66 to take their second straight Class L Championship.
The victory capped off another great season, which included a fourth straight SCC championship.
It is the 39th state title or New England championship in school history.
On Friday, March 27, we celebrate this season and the historic victory at St. Clements Castle. We will be giving out awards, honoring the teammates who helped make this happen and celebrating a team worthy of remembrance.
