Xavier High School is offering a chance to get an early jump on Algebra II.
For those students who have completed coursework in Algebra I and Geometry and are enrolled in Algebra II for the 2019-2010 academic year, an optional summer session is offered. Because there is a year gap between Algebra I and Algebra II, there is an Algebra I review course to help students prepare for the rigors of Algebra II.
In the review course, students will review topics covered in Algebra I that are building blocks for Algebra II. Topics include factoring polynomials, simplifying radicals, solving multi-step equations, simplifying rational expressions, and graphing linear equations.
The course meets from 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. from Aug. 19-23. The fee is $130. To register your son, go to www.xavierhighschool.org. Click on the "Academics" tab, then click on "Summer Courses." Click on "Summer Courses for Incoming And Current Students." It will be listed under August 2019 for current students.
Space is limited so registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The deadline to register is Friday, Aug. 9.
