Xavier High School E News - June 2024

A Thank You and Plea from the Alumni & Development Directors:

First and foremost, we want to extend our sincere thanks to the hundreds of alumni who have made a sacrificial gift to Xavier this year. Be assured that your loyalty to, and investment in, Xavier High School is greatly appreciated by everyone here at your alma mater!

Secondly, we urge those of you who have yet to donate this year to do so this month. We know more than 90% of you had a great experience at Xavier High School. And yet, alumni participation in the Annual Fund Drive is less than 10%. Just doesn’t make sense!

If you value your Xavier education, please financially support your alma mater to the best of your ability. We can’t continue to offer the best educational programs, employ superior faculty, and provide adequate tuition assistance to the many Xavier families that would not be able to afford a Xavier education for their son(s), without the generosity of our graduates.

Many of you still have the pledge envelope that was enclosed with one of our recent appeals. You probably have been moving it month-by-month to the bottom of the pile of “things to be paid.” No time to move it this month! Only 4 weeks left to the 2023-2024 fiscal year to make your annual contribution! If you no longer have the envelope, just go to the Xavier High School website, click on “Giving,” and process it electronically. It doesn’t have to be a lot. Just a sign of your support for this amazing high school. There is also a return addressed envelope in the Xavier Magazine you should have received last week.

We look forward to receiving hundreds more contributions before June 30 from those of you who greatly value your Xavier education.

Best regards,
Rich Feitel & Greg Jaskot ’00

XAVIER HIGH SCHOOL PRAYER - read at the close of school each day

Loving Father,
We ask you to protect the students, faculty and staff at Xavier High School.
Guide us to salvation by following the example of Jesus Christ, your Son.
Inspire us with your grace, to seek both academic success and spiritual wisdom as we use your gifts and talents in service to others.
Help us to find the strength and passion to be leaders and pioneers like Theodore James Ryken, the Xaverian Brothers and those who founded our school.
May we, in turn, accept the challenge to spread the Word of God and make the world a better place for all people.
We ask this, through Christ, our Lord. Amen
Saint Francis Xavier pray for us.
