Dear Xavier Families,
As we close the book on another successful academic year at Xavier, I want to take a moment to say thank you.
Our students completed their final exams today, with makeups scheduled for tomorrow. This afternoon, our Student Activities Council provided the perfect sendoff with a special end-of-year picnic. It was a wonderful way for our community to come together, celebrate the year, and enjoy one another's company before heading into summer break.
To all of our students and families, thank you for another outstanding year. Your partnership, support, and shared belief in Xavier’s mission continue to shape the young men who walk our halls. Whether this was your first year with us or your last, you are part of something truly special.
Here is what I read to our students at the end of school announcements this morning.
As we close out the last day of exams and the final moments of this school year, I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for an amazing school year.
To our incredible students: thank you for working hard, and for bringing your energy, your heart and your compassion to Xavier every single day. I hope you were able to accomplish my challenge that I put forth to all of you at the start of the year and were able to really get to know the people around you this year on a more personal level.
To our faculty and staff: thank you for your unwavering dedication, your passion for teaching and guiding and taking care of the boys on a daily basis in so many ways. It is an honor and a privilege to serve alongside you and carry on the mission of the Xaverian Brothers.
As every year certainly brings challenges and stresses I am reminded of all the great moments we shared together this year. Our community continues to thrive and support one another through the good times and the tough times. A sign that we are a true family. We all know Xavier is a special place and it’s special because of all of you.
It’s the people that make Xavier a tight-knit community. And I am endlessly proud and deeply grateful to be part of it with all of you.
So, as we close the books and look toward summer -rest, recharge, spend time with your loved ones, and take with you the wisdom that you are part of something truly special here.
Thank you for a phenomenal year. I am proud of each and every one of you. If you need anything over the summer please call or stop by. We are always here for you. And may God’s blessings stay with all of you and your loved ones to keep you safe throughout the summer months.
I wanted to share an excerpt Sunday's Gospel from John 6: 51.
"I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world."
In this Sunday's Gospel, Jesus reminds us that He is "the living bread that came down from heaven," revealing the gift of the Eucharist and His desire to remain with us always. His words point to a life rooted not only in earthly success, but in faith, service, and an enduring relationship with God.
At Xavier, this message challenges us to nourish more than the mind. As a Catholic school, we strive to help our young men grow spiritually, academically, and personally, recognizing that true fulfillment comes from living lives centered on Christ. Just as bread sustains the body, our faith sustains us through life's challenges and inspires us to use our gifts in service to others.
God Bless!
Mr. Cerreta '01 President, Xavier High School

FROM THE ENROLLMENT OFFICE
- We have an interested exchange student that would like to study at Xavier! Len is a 16 year old from China who is interested in sailing and skiing. He also plays guitar and enjoys reading detective and mystery books. If you're interested in hosting Len please email Chris Sansone, Director of Enrollment. Len wrote the following "I am 16 years old and in 10th grade. In my city, we have a famous 'morning tea' culture where people chat, joke, and enjoy local foods like White Cut Chicken. I have a little sister and some pet turtles, and we take care of them together every weekend. I like to sail with my team, read mysteries like Murder on the Orient Express, and study Microeconomics because it helps me understand the world around me. I can’t wait to study in the US, make new friends, share my culture, and bring my humor and positive attitude to new environments."
- ASSE International is partnering with Xavier High School to welcome international high school exchange students, ages 15-18, into your family and create bonds that will last a lifetime. Hosting an international student offers a unique cultural exchange experience for both the student and your family. Families that host an exchange student will receive a $5,000 tuition discount. To learn more about hosting an international exchange student or contact Chris Sansone, Director of Enrollment.
