Graduation Moved Up To 9 A.M. On Saturday Due To Heat

Due to the extreme heat and humidity forecast for Saturday, May 21, the start time for Graduation has been moved to 9 a.m. Graduates must be in their assigned homerooms by 8:15 a.m. Baccalaureate Mass remains at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20. Xavier has taken a number of other health and safety precautions as well:

  • As previously announced due to COVID concerns, Graduation is being livestreamed and may be viewed in the Dining Hall (which is air conditioned). Limited seats are available for ticketed guests to view the ceremony from the Dining Hall.
  • Water stations will be available in the hallway outside the gym. Guests are encouraged to bring a water bottle.
  • The graduates will be provided with water at their seats.
  • While masking is not mandatory, given the recent rise in COVID cases, guests are encouraged to wear a mask.
