Xavier High School Named to Advanced Placement School Honor Roll

College Board announced that Xavier High School has been named to the Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.

AP® judges schools on three categories, College Credit, College Optimization, and College Culture. Xavier scored GOLD in College Credit with 91% of senior test takers scoring  3 or higher on any AP Exam. We were awarded GOLD in College Optimization with 13% of seniors taking 5 or more AP Exams, where at least 1 exam was taken in 9th or 10th grade. Xavier was given a Bronze in College Culture with 41% of seniors taking at least one AP exam

In total, only 32% of the 15,887 eligible high schools in the nation were recognized.
