Congratulations to our Athletes of the Week!
Our Athletes of the Week are Adin Goldberg and Ben Romero of the tennis team! The duo are the Falcons No. 1 doubles team.
In a big match against the SCC #3 seed Cheshire, Ben and Adin fell behind 5-2 in the first set, before making the adjustments they needed, winning five straight games to take the first set 7-5. They stayed on track in the second set, breezing to a 6-2 win to seal the straight set victory in a match that Xavier ultimately won 5-2.
Two days later, in a match against Lyman Hall, Ben and Adin breezed to another straight set victory, winning 6-1, 6-1, helping the Falcons to a decisive 7-0 win.
Ben and Adin are now 5-2 on the season going into today’s match against Guilford.
