Financial Support for Xavier - Why Give, Why Now

We know many of you get tired of us asking for donations. To tell you the truth, we frequently get tired of asking. But when it comes to securing funding for Xavier High School, it's not only our job, it's our passion for this special high school that drives us to do so.

Tuition will be over $19,000 next year. That still does not cover the cost of educating a student here at Xavier, which is about $21,000. It's our job in this office to cover that shortfall and to provide additional funding for financial aid. Without contributions from many generous alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends, Xavier High School will not be able to continue its tradition of academic, athletic, and spiritual excellence, and the families of many young men who desire a Xavier education but are unable to afford the full tuition will not be able to attend.

If you value your Xavier education and have many fond memories of your days at 181 Randolph Road, please support your alma mater to the best of your ability. Help us to continue to provide the very best well-rounded Catholic education to the many boys who enter as freshmen and graduate four years later as Xavier men.

Sincerely yours,
Rich Feitel                        TJ Kronenberger '04                   Suzanne Berry

Steven Scionti '81 Brings His One-Man Show Home to Support Xavier

Shoemaker's tale

Alumnus Steven Scionti '81 returns to Middletown, CT, to perform his deeply personal, critically acclaimed one-man show, Hear What’s in the Heart: A Shoemaker's Tale, on May 8th and May 9th at 7:00 PM at the Mercy High School Auditorium.

This beloved show celebrates the life and legacy of Scionti's grandfather, Angelo Morello, who was the longtime owner of Angelo's Shoe Repair on Main Street in Middletown. Set against the backdrop of a post-funeral gathering to celebrate the life of his grandfather, Scionti paints a theatrical family portrait in a series of humorous and poignant vignettes transforming himself into various family members and friends, jumping back and forth through time to affecting moments on his journey into adulthood. Eight characters are portrayed in all, including his grandfather; his father Sebastiano; his mother Rosetta; brother Antonio; uncles Amadeo and Manny; Jerry, the local neighborhood pizza-maker; and Brother Connelly, a teacher from Xavier High School.

A Shoemaker's Tale has been performed to sold-out audiences across the country. While rooted in the story of an Italian-American family, the show resonates universally, exploring themes of family, identity, resilience, and the courage to follow one's passion.

Tickets will go on sale in March. The price will be $50 per ticket, with $40 from each ticket going directly to Xavier High School, making this special hometown performance both an evening of powerful storytelling and a meaningful opportunity to support the Xavier community.

EVERY GREAT STORY STARTS HERE

every great story starts here

Enrollment season is here, and the next generation of Falcons is lining up at the starting gate. If there is one truth we have learned over the years, it is this: word of mouth matters. Families trust the voices of those who have lived the Xavier experience. They trust you.

From championship athletic programs to opportunities that let students earn college credit while still in high school, Xavier continues to give young men a head start in life. The classrooms, the fields, and the brotherhood are all part of a foundation that lasts long after graduation.

You are the embodiment of what a Xaverian education can do. Help us spread the word far and wide. Share your story. Encourage the families you know to explore Xavier. The future Falcons are out there, and they are waiting to hear from you.
