AROUND & ABOUT
Heritage Society
Thank You to our Heritage Society members who made lifetime gifts in perpetuity such as endowed funds, insurance policies, and estate and trust bequests that protect the Xavier mission to educate young men in service to others so that each student is prepared to respond to the Christian call of the school motto, “Be A Man, A Man Like Christ.”
The newest member of the Heritage Society is Michael Millane '74, with the naming of Xavier in his estate plans. If you have included Xavier High School in any planned gift please inform us in order that we add your name to the exclusive Xavier Heritage Society Donor Honor Roll.

Community Survey Results
Many of you responded to the survey included in the Fall Annual Appeal. Thank you for your generous gifts again this year, and thank you for the input on when, how, and why we communicate with you. Some trends were: the school mission and the top tier education are highly important to parents and grandparents, be they current or former parents. Many former parents noted the success their sons have had in work and in family life due to the values instilled by Xavier. Alumni contributors noted the lifelong friendships and sense of brotherhood they have from their time at Xavier. The amount of communications is agreeable with most recipients being that they include both USPS mail and online appeals and news communications. These are just a few take-aways from the survey. If you have any that you would like to add contact Liz Whitty at 860 346 7735 x732 or [email protected].

XAVIER HIGH SCHOOL PRAYER - read at the close of school each day
Loving Father,
We ask you to protect the students, faculty and staff at Xavier High School.
Guide us to salvation by following the example of Jesus Christ, your Son.
Inspire us with your grace, to seek both academic success and spiritual wisdom as we use your gifts and talents in service to others.
Help us to find the strength and passion to be leaders and pioneers like Theodore James Ryken, the Xaverian Brothers and those who founded our school.
May we, in turn, accept the challenge to spread the Word of God and make the world a better place for all people.
We ask this, through Christ, our Lord. Amen
Saint Francis Xavier pray for us.
- Chris Danko ’11 and Francis Rowland ‘11
